Twas the Night Before…
A final post for 2024 before we head into the holiday break.
Mineral is now locked in for it’s console release, a lot later than planned, but stable and ready to go on Xbox, PlayStation, Epic Games and it’s UE5 update for Steam on January 10th.
We are incredibly proud to get the game running, stable and ready for all our target platforms in UE5, for a tiny team this is a big achievement, and having to do the full content pipeline was a big learning curve, but we have banked a lot of technical credit for future projects.
Going Noble (Core)
With Title Update (TU) 1.1 ready to go early January, we set sites on Title Update 1.2 and explain what we will start on in the new year.
Title Update 1.2 | Noble Core will come Early 2025 bringing 40 new levels to Mineral in an all new setting, the levels will be split into 5 new themes, closely tied together: Helium, Neon, Argon, Krypton and Xenon. We’ll share some early in-progress images after the launch of TU 1.1.
Alongside 40 new levels, that will make up the Paid DLC element of the TU, there will also be some free additions, the main one being the Customisation Store.
Now we at Xitol have a set of rules we like to adhere to to be as transparent and also gamer friendly as possible, this means the customisation store will allow players to unlock every item without paying any real-world money. Some items will be directly linked to achievements, others will be available via an in-game currency called Crystals.
Crystals will be earned by Completing Levels, Achievements and Challenges, and can be redeemed against any item not linked to an achievement. We will also offer players the chance to buy Crystals with real money, if they so wish, but it is an open choice.
Mineral Roadmap
Last post we mentioned that on the Mineral Website we have published the Roadmap for Mineral. it now has a couple of updates, including the marking of TU 1.1 as complete and TU 1.2 as in-progress,
